Do I need a visa?

Whether you head to Dagestan (Wrestling) or Chechnya (MMA), the camp takes place in the Russian Federation: a Russian visa is required for most nationalities. The visa is included in the MKR package: consular fees, official invitation letter, EU questionnaire, and full handling of your file. You provide your passport (valid for at least 6 months), we take care of the rest.

What is included in the price?

The price covers the Russian visa (consular fees and complete file), the domestic flight from Istanbul (Makhachkala for Dagestan, Grozny for Chechnya), the airport transfers, accommodation in the camp lodging, 2 meals per day, twice-daily training sessions and the remote prep follow-up. The international flight to Istanbul is on the candidate (free to book). An MKR surcharge may apply for applications less than 30 days before departure (express processing).

Where does the camp take place: Dagestan or Chechnya?

It depends on the discipline you choose. Adult wrestling and Youth wrestling: camp in Dagestan, in the Makhachkala and Kaspiysk gyms. MMA: camp in Chechnya, in Grozny, inside the Akhmat Fight Club ecosystem. On official sessions, it is exclusive: 15 Wrestling spots plus 15 MMA spots per session, you pick one OR the other at sign-up. The Dagestan plus Chechnya combo is only available on Custom Camp or Clubs and Groups bookings (custom quote).

Wrestling or MMA, how do I choose?

You choose based on your background discipline and your goals. If you practice freestyle wrestling, grappling, BJJ or sambo: choose Wrestling (Dagestan, legacy of the Olympic champions). If you practice MMA, boxing, kickboxing or Muay Thai and you want to progress inside the Russian MMA ecosystem: choose MMA (Chechnya, Akhmat Fight Club). MMA requires an Advanced level minimum. For undecided or complete athletes: Combo option in Custom Camp (custom quote).

Advanced level minimum (more than 5 years of regular practice) or Competitor (regional, national, international). The application form blocks Intermediate and below when you select MMA. This requirement comes from the rhythm of the camp and the level of the local sparring partners: you will be training with pro fighters from the Akhmat team. If you are not at that level yet, choose Wrestling (Dagestan), open to all levels including motivated beginners. Ruslan refines the selection in the final video call.

Training sessions are mainly in Russian (and a few words of Avar in Dagestan or Chechen / Vainakh in Chechnya depending on the gym). A French-speaking interpreter is on site. Language immersion is part of the experience.

The urban areas where the camps take place (Makhachkala and Kaspiysk in Dagestan, Grozny in Chechnya) are stable, visited by athletes from all over the world and under strong police presence. We constantly monitor the recommendations of the French Foreign Ministry and the Swiss FDFA. MKR protocol: 24/7 emergency contacts, medical repatriation insurance recommended, local team present at all times in each destination.

Yes. The camp offers 3 disciplines: Adult wrestling, Youth wrestling and MMA. You choose your discipline at sign-up, and your destination follows: Adult wrestling and Youth wrestling in Dagestan (sessions at 10:30 and 17:30), MMA in Chechnya (sessions at 11:00 and 18:00). On official sessions, it is exclusive: 15 Wrestling spots plus 15 MMA spots. The Wrestling plus MMA combo within the same camp is only available in Custom Camp (sequential: X days in Dagestan then Y days in Chechnya, custom quote).

How does the Wrestling plus MMA combo in Custom Camp work?

The combo is sequential: you start in Dagestan for the Wrestling part (X days), then MKR organizes your transfer to Chechnya for the MMA part (Y days). Minimum total duration: 2 weeks. The split (for example 1 week Wrestling plus 1 week MMA) is set during your video call with Ruslan, based on your goals and your level. The price is not public: it is set on a custom quote during the call (dual-destination logistics, domestic flights to Makhachkala plus Grozny, transfers). The combo is not available on official sessions or in Family.

One rest day per week, usually spent on a cultural excursion or a mountain hike. The rest of the time, it is twice-daily training.

1. You fill out the online form (5 minutes). No payment is required at this stage. 2. We call you back within 48 hours for a validation video call with Ruslan. 3. If your application is accepted, you receive the MKR bank details and pay the package in one go (bank transfer or cash). 4. You receive the preparation guide and the visa invitation letter.

Yes. As long as you have not paid your package, cancellation is free. Once the payment is received: free cancellation up to 60 days before departure (100% refund). Between 30 and 60 days: 50% refund. Less than 30 days: non-refundable. Full details in our terms and conditions.

This lead time allows MKR to handle the Russian visa (3 to 4 weeks), gives you room to book your international flight under good conditions, and leaves you 6 weeks for physical preparation. For fixed-date camps (official session), registration is open up to 30 days before departure. Below 30 days, an MKR surcharge applies for express processing (visa, logistics).

Yes, from age 8, but they must be accompanied by a parent participating in the camp. This is our safety rule: no unaccompanied child. Parent + Child package at 2 590 € (1 week) with the first child included, 4 790 € (2 weeks), 6 890 € (3 weeks). Each additional child: +790 € par semaine.

Choose the Family channel on /inscription. You declare your children (1 to 4, ages 8 to 17). If your partner also participates in the camp, tick the dedicated box: both parents move to the Solo / Duo rate (1 490 € per person per week) plus each child at 790 € per week. Otherwise, the Parent + Child package (first child included in the 2 590 € per week) applies. The total price is calculated automatically.

A youth coach trained in sport pedagogy for younger athletes runs the children's sessions (Youth wrestling at 10:30 and 17:30). Ratio of 1 coach per 5 children maximum. Certified Olympic mats, dedicated gym, no KO allowed, controlled sparring. Parent briefing at the end of each session, daily photos.

Are the parent and child programs running in parallel?

Yes. You follow the adult sessions (Wrestling 10:30/17:30 or MMA 11:00/18:00) while your child follows the Youth wrestling program (10:30/17:30). You meet up at meals, excursions and free moments. You can also watch your child's sessions if you want.

Minimum 8, maximum 17. Below 8, the camp is physically and culturally too intense. From age 18, your teenager is registered as an adult at the Solo / Duo rate (1 490 € / 1 sem · 2 290 € / 2 sem · 2 790 € / 3 sem, per adult).

Yes, a medical certificate of fitness for intensive sports practice is required for each child, issued by the family doctor and dated less than 6 months before departure. A parental authorization signed by the legal guardian is also required.
