THE DISCIPLINE THAT FORGED THE CAUCASUS

Freestyle wrestling only, at the heart of Dagestan. The ancestral methods passed down in the gyms of Makhachkala and Kaspiysk.

THE PROGRAM

WRESTLING IN DAGESTAN

In Dagestan, wrestling is not a sport. It is an identity. Every village has its champion, every family passes down its techniques. Dagestani methods have produced more Olympic wrestling champions per capita than anywhere else in the world.

The MKR program gives you access to this knowledge: freestyle wrestling exclusively, and the specific techniques of the Caucasus that you will find in no European academy.

TECHNIQUES

Freestyle wrestling

Explosive takedowns, leg control, scrambles. The base of combat in Dagestan.

Leg rides

Dagestani specialty. Ground control with the legs. A technique you will not find in Europe.

Chain wrestling

Sequence of takedowns. If the first fails, the second is already on the way.

Funk rolls

Acrobatic position recoveries. Turn a defensive situation into an attack.

Mat returns

Bring the opponent back to the ground from the standing position. A control technique.

Takedown defense

Sprawl, underhooks, counter-attacks. Cancel the opponent's attack and regain the initiative.

Running, ground exercises, hip mobility.

Technique

Demonstration by the coach. Repetition in pairs. Individual corrections.

Situations

Imposed starting positions. Timed attack-defense.

Sparring

6-minute rounds (competition pace). Partner rotation.

10 min

Conditioning

Final circuit: push-ups, squats, wrestling bridge, core work.

Official Adult Wrestling schedule: morning 10:30 and afternoon 17:30. No overlap with MMA sessions.
