ENTRY FORMALITIES
Check your passport
Passport valid at least 6 months after the return date. This is the only document you provide for the visa: everything else is handled by MKR.
Russian visa handled
Consular fees included in the package. Whether you go to Dagestan (Wrestling) or Chechnya (MMA), MKR provides the EU questionnaire, the official invitation letter and supports your file from start to finish. Allow 3 to 4 weeks of processing.
MKR invitation letter
MKR sends the official invitation letter as soon as your application is confirmed. It is the central document of the visa file.
Documents to bring
Passport, printed e-visa documents (sent by MKR, print them before you leave), MKR booking confirmation, insurance certificate, round-trip tickets you booked to Makhachkala or Grozny (via Istanbul).

HOW TO GET THERE
All routes go through Istanbul. Your flights stay on your side, but you do not choose them alone: MKR helps you find the right route, the right airlines and timings that match the airport pickup. Your city to Istanbul, then Istanbul to Makhachkala (MCX) for Wrestling in Dagestan or Istanbul to Grozny (GRV) for MMA in Chechnya. You pick your airline, your departure airport and your class based on your budget; the Istanbul-Caucasus leg costs 250-350 EUR round trip.

When booking, allow at least 4 hours of layover in Istanbul (IST and SAW are two different airports, 1h30 apart). As soon as your application is approved, MKR looks at the options with you and tells you which arrival times work for the airport pickup. Application less than 30 days before departure : an MKR surcharge applies for express handling of the file (visa, logistics).
TRAVEL INSURANCE
Travel insurance is mandatory to take part in the camp. It must cover:
- Medical repatriation
- Contact sports practice (MMA, wrestling)
- Medical expenses abroad
- Civil liability

AIRPORT TRANSFERS
The airport transfer is included in the package. An MKR vehicle is waiting for you on arrival. Airport to camp drive is about 1h30 from Makhachkala (Dagestan, Wrestling camp) or about 30 minutes from Grozny (Chechnya, MMA camp). All travel during the camp is covered.

Currency
Russian ruble (RUB). 1 EUR ~ 100 RUB. Foreign bank cards do not work in Russia: bring cash in euros to exchange on site as soon as you arrive.
Internet and SIM
Wi-Fi at accommodation. MKR provides you with a Russian SIM card and a VPN the morning after you arrive.
On arrival
Phones may be checked at the airport. Keep your printed e-visa documents (sent by MKR) within reach.
Climate
Continental. Spring 12-20°C, summer 25-35°C, autumn 10-18°C.
Language
Russian is primary. Avar in Dagestan, Chechen/Vainakh in Chechnya depending on the gym. French-speaking MKR interpreter on site.
Food
Caucasian cuisine: rich in protein, meat, vegetables, bread. Diet suited to athletes.
